Happy Birthday to ME!

Today is my 49th birthday, so let's celebrate.  I just had to have some bling on this card. I used the Birthday Blooms Stamp Set.  I have been wanting to use this for a while, but I keep getting distracted by other stamp sets.  I used a couple of different pink markers to shade the flower.  The main color is Sweet Sugarplum, as is the pink cardstock.  I stamped the image on shimmery white cardstock in Basic Black Archival Ink and embossed it with clear embossing powder.  After I colored the image, I used the clear Wink of Stella to go over the flowers. Can't have too much shimmer.  The Silver Glimmer Paper adds a nice touch of sparkle.

Leave me a comment to let me know what you think.  Follow me to see new cards as they are posted.

Valentine Matchbox Treat - York Peppermint Patty

Woo Hoo!  Made a Valentine Treat for my Hubby.
Start with a piece of cardstock (I used Cherry Cobbler) that is 2 inches wide and 5 3/4 inches long.  Score at 1/2 inch, 3 inches, and 3 1/2 inches.
Stamp your sentiment on a piece of cardstock that is 1 3/4 inches wide and 2 inches long.
I punched a small heart out of Silver Glimmer Paper
Fold on the score marks and adhere the sentiment and the heart to the front flap.
Staple in the York Peppermint Patty. (Finally used that Tim Holtz tiny attacher mini stapler.)
Tuck the front flap in.
