As I wait for my pre-order from the 2017 Holiday Catalog, I decided to make a Christmas card. I am just loving the Seasonal Layers Thinlits. There is something for every season. Product List
Time for a "stepped up" card. Lots of things going on with this card. I really gave my Big Shot a workout with this one. I think it's a stunning card. I even used the new sponge brayers. Amazingly there is no actual stamping on this card. I hope you enjoy.
Layering Love and Berry Burst. Gotta love it. I have been having so much fun playing in my craft room. Berry Burst is one of the new 2017-2019 In Colors, and it's one of my favorites.
I ordered some goodies from the 2017-2018 Stampin' Up! annual catalog. I have finally found some time to create and share with you. I love how simple this card is and yet how wonderful it looks. I just love the large greetings in the Lovely Friends stamp set. I don't usually order many of the background stamps, but this one I just had to have. It's called Marbled and it reminds me so much of the shaving cream technique I always wanted to try, but never wanted to deal with the mess. The Island Indigo pops off the Daffodil Delight. I hope you enjoy this card as much as I do.
I used sponging and masking in this beautiful beach scene. I stamped the girl on a post-it and then stamped her in the middle of the card where I wanted her. I tore another post-it to mimic the waves coming onto the shore. I covered the girl with her post-it mask and used the second post-it and a sponge to create the beach sand. Leaving the post-it's in place, I used the straight edge of the second post-it to create the horizon line and sponged the water and used the water stamp from High Tide. I then turned the straight line post-it around and sponged the sky. I used a little Smoky Slate over the Soft Sky to darken the sky a little. The few times I have been to the beach it always seems to rain. I removed the masks and colored the girl from Beautiful You. I hope you enjoyed looking at this card.
