Lift Me Up Birthday

I have looked at this stamp set over and over, but so far I had not inked it up at all. Well, today was the day. I love the way it turned out. So many different colors for the balloons. Next time I think I will use the matching framelits.

Happy Birthday to ME!

Today is my 49th birthday, so let's celebrate. I just had to have some bling on this card. I used the Birthday Blooms Stamp Set. I have been wanting to use this for a while, but I keep getting distracted by other stamp sets. I used a couple of different pink markers to shade the flower. The main color is Sweet Sugarplum, as is the pink cardstock. I stamped the image on shimmery white cardstock in Basic Black Archival Ink and embossed it with clear embossing powder. After I colored the image, I used the clear Wink of Stella to go over the flowers. Can't have too much shimmer. The Silver Glimmer Paper adds a nice touch of sparkle.

Happy Birthday Balloons

We have some wonderful In Colors to work with this year. I am just loving the colors. Confetti and balloons say Happy Birthday to me just as much as cake and ice cream. This paper from the Playful Palette DSP reminds me so much of confetti, I just had to pair it with some balloons from the Balloon Celebration stamp set. Leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

Sitting Here

This is one of the stamps sets I had on my wish list from the beginning. I just love front porch swings. I sponged my background with Soft Sky and Pear Pizzazz on Whisper White (4 x 5 1/4) and then placed it on a Dapper Denim card base (4 1/4 x 5 1/2). I stamped the swing, but wanted a little more dimension, so I stamped the swing on a scrap piece of paper and fussy cut it (even between the slats on the back). I stamped the pillows on Dapper Denim, Emerald Envy, and Sweet Sugarplum. and cut them out so I could pop them up. I just love the dimension on this card. I wish you could see it better.
