Sitting Here

This is one of the stamps sets I had on my wish list from the beginning.  I just love front porch swings.  I sponged my background with Soft Sky and Pear Pizzazz on Whisper White (4 x 5 1/4) and then placed it on a Dapper Denim card base (4 1/4 x 5 1/2).  I stamped the swing, but wanted a little more dimension, so I stamped the swing on a scrap piece of paper and fussy cut it (even between the slats on the back).  I stamped the pillows on Dapper Denim, Emerald Envy, and Sweet Sugarplum. and cut them out so I could pop them up.  I just love the dimension on this card.  I wish you could see it better.

Swirly Bird #2

Kites!  Yes, kites.  This stamp set is so wonderful.  When I realized I could make cards with kites on them, I had to have this set.  As I posted before, I was not interested in this set the first time I saw it or even the second.  LOL.  The swirls just didn't catch my attention.  I noticed someone had made a project that used this set and it had a sailboat.  That caused me to take another look.  I am so glad I did.  I sponged Soft Sky and Pear Pizzazz on a piece of Whisper White (4 x 5 1/4).  The kites are stamped in Dapper Denim, Sweet Sugarplum, and Peekaboo Peach and fussy cut.  I used the Triple Banner punch so my banner pieces would line up.  It is all attached to a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 card base in Pear Pizzazz.

Swirly Bird - Card #1

I purchased the Swirly Bird Photopolymer Bundle during the demonstrator pre order.  I will admit it wasn't on my first order.  I placed a second order for this set.  The swirls just didn't interest me at all.  Then I noticed some of the other stamps in this set.  I love this little boat.  This is the first card I did with this set.  I just love it.

I stamped the boat pieces with Real Red, Dapper Denim (loving these new In Colors), and Soft Suede.  I didn't use the little flag stamp that comes with it because I fussy cut all the pieces and felt it would be too small to pop up using dimensionals.  I sponged my background with Marina Mist and Soft Sky on a piece of Whisper White (5 1/4 x 4) and used Dapper Denim for my "waves" and Daffodil Delight as my "sun".  I used the Thoughtful Banners for my sentiment and punched it out with the matching punch.  Then it is mounted on a Real Red card base (5 1/2 x 4 1/4).  Look for other cards to come.

Good Bye Floral Frames. I'm gonna miss you.

This cute little guy's mane was made with the Floral Frames Collection Framelits.  I'm so sad Stampin' Up! is retiring these.  I really loved them.  If you want a set, better act quick.  I made this for a Kid's Card, card swap a couple of years ago.

Beautiful Ride

Beautiful Ride is a very versatile stamp set.  Everything from moving to a new place, to getting married, to just being in love.  This stamp set has it all.  I couldn't resist the funky paint job on the car.  I used the retiring Stampin' Markers to color in the car.  Don't forget the retiring In Colors when you are planning your order.  The In Color merchandise usually sells out really fast.  If you haven't picked up yours, you might want to do so as soon as possible.

For Your Country

It's that time of year again.  Stampin' Up! is retiring a lot of stamps and other product from their line to make way for the new goodies coming in the new catalog.  I will miss this stamp set a lot.  I really haven't used it much, but I am very sad to see it go.

I started with a piece of Old Olive cardstock (5 1/2 x 4 1/4) and stamped around the edges with Always Artichoke ink using the Times Textures Stamp Set.  I used a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock (5 x 3 3/4).  I used the boots, dog tags, and helmet to make the background using the stamp off method.  The Always Artichoke is such a dark color I did 3 stamp offs before stamping on the cardstock.  I used Always Artichoke with no stamp off for the focal image and the sentiment.

If you are interested in this stamp set, go to my online store and purchase it before it sells out.  When a product hits the retirement list, it is as supplies last.  Don't forget to stock up on cardstock.  I have heard they are increasing the price in the new catalog.
